A Day At the Museum

We finally decided to explore our little town of Idaho Falls and this is what we found... We have a pretty neat little museum! The exhibit was Ice Age Mammals and Nicholas was fascinated by the giant mastodons.

Now each time we get in the car he wants to 'go store see effants!'. He really liked the hairy rhinoceros and this mountain goat. (Maybe they remind him of Junior?)

We were pretty impressed with our little museum- they had some awesome exhibits and upstairs is a little room for the kids where they can play in caves and explore some fake underwater habitats. There are also some sections on the early American inhabitants and a dress-up area that Nicholas didn't quite enjoy but endured for a cute(?) picture.

We can't wait until the next exhibit opens at the end of February- The Pharoahs and Egyptian artifacts.
